QUESTIONS:

  1. Q: Could Jan (PET) conduct a punch list review of the exterior of building G today?

A: Yes. Jan reviewed building G with Brink (MCR) and developed a punch list. Brink reviewed the punch list with Ken (SCC) after Ken got out of his HOA meeting.

  1. Q: Could Jan review the work done on the building B garage exhaust vent (details 8, 9 & 10/AD-14)?

A: Yes. Jan reviewed the detail and approved the work.

  1. Q: Could Jan review and direct the work that is called out to be done under the first floor, east elevation stair landing of building E (1st Floor Plan/A1E)?

A: Yes. Jan reviewed the exposed framing and found that there was water staining but no indication of rot. To prevent water intrusion at this location in the future Jan proposed the following:

a.       Removal of the threshold of the door above the landing and set it in sealant.

b.       A modified flashing along the stair stringer that runs parallel with the wall below the door (Jan will detail this flashing in response to RFI BK126, image 08).

  1. Q: Would it be acceptable with the SCC for MCR to work on Labor Day?

A: Yes. However, after discussion with the subcontractors, MCR has decided to take Labor Day, 09/06/04, off. Work will resume on Tuesday, 09/07/04.

 COMMENTS:

  1. There were a few instances of railing paint overspray on buildings A, B and H. Greg Anderson Painting (in cooperation with Corona Construction and Stucco Flex - manufacturers of the stucco finish) has added a coat of finish material to a test area. Ken (SCC) reviewed the test area yesterday (08/31/04) and found it to be acceptable.
