Emergency Elevator Telephone

As a reminder to owners and guests... 

In December 2008 we had two false emergency telephone calls from the H and B building's elevators. Someone pressed the emergency telephone button or picked up the phone, and then did not respond to the emergency operator.  The elevator company must respond when the operator cannot establish if the caller is in trouble or not. During the holidays, each response costs the Association $1000.

We will be paying $2000 for those two incidents, so please help educate your guests to leave the elevator emergency phones alone, or if a grandchild picks up the phone before you can react, respond to the operator so they know you are not in trouble.
