In addition to the minutes that officially
document actions taken, the Board publishes monthly updates to maintain open
communication with Owners. We welcome your
input and feedback.
Board Meetings
Board meetings are held on the 4th
Wednesday of every month. The next
meeting is Wednesday, March 26 at 6:30 pm in Unit F-302.
Welcome New Residents
Malina Atanassopolos is the new owner of E-201.
Laura and Mike
Gaffney are renting E-105.
Reminder
Now that Spring is here (or at least approaching) many of us are
beginning our seasonal deck plantings.
Please remember that flat bottom planters must be elevated above
the deck surface on stands or frogs to reduce staining, moss buildup, and water
damage to the deck brown coat. Stands
should also have at least 1 inch diameter leg pads to prevent puncture damage
to the deck coating.
Emergency Planning
Check the main
water valve in your Unit. Can you locate
it, reach it, turn it on and off? The valve should be cycled (turned off and
back on) at least twice a year to make sure mineral buildup does not
render it inoperable.
Exterior Window Washing
Exterior windows
are routinely cleaned twice a year and will be done later this month as noted
in the minutes. An owner has suggested
that some people may be interested in one or more additional window washing (at
their own expense) beyond the two included in your dues. The Board has asked the company to provide an
estimate of costs for doing so. Please
call or send a note to a Board member if you are interested.
Get Involved
Please share your talents, expertise, and
interests. We invite each of you to get
involved with a committee, a task force, or a special project. And if you have a skill, experience, and/or
some time that you would be willing to contribute, please let us know. We invite you to get involved in a small
project or an ongoing committee. We will
all appreciate, and benefit from, your participation in making Shumway an even
better place to live.
